A Few More Things

These items were made quite a number of years ago, and except for these images, they're all but forgotten today...

A hat made for Kiera but now too small

A finished pair of socks

A pair of socks under construction but long since completed

Made for an iPhone... and this one is still in use.

One more for the road...

Other Things Besides Made With Wool

Feb 09 2019 - A 14" pizza made from scratch and came out perfect

No more disappointing results...

Making the switch from store made to home made and these two loaves came out perfect.

A first try at making sour dough bread...

This loaf was huge and lasted us a week.

Rye not try sour dough rye?

After years of trying and not getting it quite right, Mrs. M. now has bread making down pat like a pro.

April 04, 2020, this week yeast-based breads.

Back to regular white sour dough bread...

We haven't bought bread from a store in almost two months and we're not likely to in the near future.

Another two loaves from May 20, 2020

September 25, 2020. A return to yeast-based breads at my request, because these are better suited for sandwiches.

Pairs of Socks

This works like a sock and is made to slip over an iPhone. Mrs. M. has knit a few of these by request. I have one too.

The above item at the start

Something a little more traditional...

Starting out...

A little further along...

This pair was knit for Keira... and she does wear them

Mrs. M's Wool Works

After a lengthy break, Mrs. M. took up knitting again. News received late last year that a second grandchild was on the way was the catalyst.

A few days ago I made a wooden crate-box for Mrs. M. to keep her wool and knitting stuff in. I don't think she was very impressed. The photo below was taken after the paint had dried and prior to assembly.

This would make a good title for a blog but Mrs. M. does not have a blog.

Perhaps one day Mrs. M. may set up her own blog but more likely she will stick to her knitting.

During the winter months that followed Kimberly's announcement, Mrs. M. knit a baby blanket.

Since Jonah's arrival on June 30, 2012, night time temperatures have been anything but blanket temperatures, but the blanket was made large enough to be the right size for the next few winters.

In the end I decided to set up the blog for her.
